Notes

Auditions for the special performances occur before or after the regular Wednesday practice time.
Workshops for special performances bring together the selected performers and the accompanist to prepare the material.
The "blocking" rehearsal is where we work out the placement of individuals on the risers and go over the movements of the chorus onto and off of the risers. Also any specific issues with soloists or instrumentalists are all worked out so that the performance will flow smoothly. It is important for all performers to be at this rehearsal so that everyone learns the transitions and so that we don't have do a lot of adjustments later to accommodate missing chorus members.
"Dress" rehearsal is always at the performance location. Dress rehearsal gives the chorus a chance to run all the way through the program in performance order while the chorus members are in performance position. Contrary to the name, "dress" rehearsal does not require performance attire.
